Group IT Support / Architectural Technologist

Our Sydney Studio has seen remarkable growth in recent years and continues to go from strength to strength, delivering key projects across both metropolitan Sydney and beyond. As a collective of enthusiastic and talented architects, designers, and interior designers, we are delivering some of Australia’s most significant and landmark projects for a range of high-profile clientele. Our work includes collaborations with internationally acclaimed architects and design houses.
General requirements of the role:
Support the management of Plus Architecture’s IT and digital systems and services across all studios.
Help roll out AI and other new technologies, starting with pilot teams and expanding based on results, to improve efficiency and design capabilities.
Assist in researching and implementing new technology solutions to make workflows smoother for design, documentation, administration, and client delivery.
Be a part of our international IT team.
Report to the IT lead overseeing the overall strategy for Plus while having a direct reporting link to Plus Sydney Directors and Operations Manager.
Be openminded and have a desire to grow your skills for the AI needs / support of an architectural studio.
Have a can-do attitude and be a team player, working collaboratively with our 200+ team across the studios
Our ideal candidate will need to be or have the following:
1+ years of experience in a level 1 or 2 IT technical support role.
Minimum 1+ years experience in UX, architectural design, visualisation, design technology or related field.
Experience with AI tools and platform implementation (local/cloud) in professional environments.
Experience with digital design, UX principles and digital tool development.
Experience in process automation, workflow optimisation and efficiency improvement.
Desirable, but not essential, experience with CAD, Design and Visualisation software (3ds Max, Revit, ArchiCAD, Rhino, Corona/V-Ray, Adobe Suite, Figma etc).
Desirable, but not essential - Have a good understanding of architectural design processes and construction documentation workflows.
Candidates must demonstrate confidence and be comfortable to work creatively under pressure and to deadlines. We are looking for someone with a demonstrated high level of integrity, maturity, and diplomacy. We work hard, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously – having a strong work ethic (and a sense of humour!) will get you far in this position.
