Working with Senior Designers and Project Leaders to test your skills on real projects, we’re looking for a student with good technical and creative skills to work at Plus Architecture’s Melbourne studio.

Over one year we’ll give you the tools and opportunity to kick-start your architectural career. Among a whole host of other things, you’ll need to:

  • Liaise with sub-consultants and get outcomes

  • Keep projects on track in terms of time and budget

  • Prepare concepts and schematic designs for reviews

  • Get into the nitty-gritty of contract documentation and details

  • Office operations responsibilities

As Graphic Designer / 3D Visualiser you will be a master time manager, working with both the visualisation team and marketing team to coordinate and produce graphic design work and high standard visual communications across the organisation.

Your duties will include but not be limited to:


Graphic Design:

  • Development of marketing materials for both print and digital; consolidating standards across all studios

  • Responsible for coordinating and producing graphic design work and high standard visual communications across the organization such as design and production brochures, publications, presentations, newsletters, signs, events promotion, branding, digital banners / materials, advertising, producing videos and other communications materials

  • Update and optimize existing digital creative, develop templates and a library of assets to enable fast production of repeat work

  • Understanding and organization of publication processes and printing / production methods

  • Keep promotional materials ready by coordinating, analyzing and summarizing various data and / or outsourced third party; inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying quality

  • Supporting business development staff by providing marketing materials

  • Proven understanding of typography, layout and finished art with a good eye for design

  • Maintenance of aesthetic brand and website and additional marketing collateral in collaboration with the team

  • Provide senior management with regular updates on progress of work to ensure overall timelines are kept up to date



  • Highly motivated, self-directed, enthusiastic 3D Artist

  • Well-versed in 3D with a strong background in 3D modelling, lighting, UV wrapping, rendering and able to demonstrate photo-realistic asset creation of real-world objects

  • Ability to work with a variety of 2D and 3D software packages and demonstrate the ability to raise the quality bar in assessing the 3D objects

  • Develop 3D scenes – model, textures, light and render

  • Complete, manage and deliver post-production and editing on projects

  • Working as part of a project team to ensure consistency in quality and file structure

  • Meet project deadlines and deliverables



  • Hold a tertiary qualification in Graphic Design or Visual Communication (or similar) and have a minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in a similar role in a fast-paced Graphic Design / 3D production environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a willingness to learn and contribute

  • Proven ability to independently manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment, liaising with an 8-studio practice

  • Ability to solve complex design problems by being collaborative, creative and analytical

  • Experience applying brand guidelines to a broad spectrum of channels

  • Excellent technical and design software skills

  • Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite – Advanced Photoshop, Advanced InDesign. Advanced Illustrator. Knowledge of After Effects and Premier Pro (Video / editing experience a plus)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Advanced experience in 3Ds Max, V-Ray / Corona

  • Advanced knowledge of 3D plugins such as Forest Pro, Railclone, Grow FX

  • Demonstrated understanding of technical art production and end-to-end modelling, UV unwrapping, texturing and rendering

  • Proactive in picking up new skills
