Craig Yelland departing Plus Architecture

Director Craig Yelland has left Plus Architecture to pursue new opportunities in the property sector.

Over the last two decades, Plus Architecture has grown from a boutique Melbourne firm to a large international business with studios across Australia and New Zealand.

Craig’s expertise in apartment design helped cement Plus Architecture’s place as an innovative, results focused firm, with the award-winning ‘Society’ project in South Yarra leading the way in developing a new typology of innovative compact apartments across Australia. Craig’s passion for golf and golf clubhouse design was demonstrated through his work on the innovative Moonah Links golf clubhouse, and as a long-term member of the Property Council of Australia, he contributed to policy and regulatory approaches throughout the architecture and property development industries.

The last two decades has seen Plus Architecture successfully expand into Brisbane, Sydney, New Zealand (where Plus has now designed and worked on several of the country’s largest architectural and master-planned projects) and recently into Western Australia with the establishment of the Plus Architecture Perth Studio.

“The leadership team and staff at Plus Architecture are grateful to Craig for his dedication to this firm and its people,” said Plus Architecture Director Ian Briggs. “His work has left an indelible mark on the growth and development of Plus Architecture, and his knowledge and expertise will be missed.”

It is an exciting time for the firm, with recent senior appointments bringing in a wealth of expertise in exciting new sectors, including aviation, hospitality, infrastructure, medical and education.

“While we are continuing our expert-led work in multi-residential, seniors living and master-planning, we are also undertaking multiple exciting projects in these new sectors” said Plus Architecture Director Rainer Strunz.

Plus Architecture would like to thank Craig for his contribution to the firm, and wish him all the best with his future endeavours.
