Conceptually the project draws its inspiration from existing residential typologies. The design synthesis ideas and elements of detached suburban dwellings into the context of medium density row housing.

Each row is unified by a common ground floor base, however individual houses are articulated at upper levels by a contrasting of black and white cladding materials. An alternating combination of gable and mansard rooflines creates a highly articulated and visually interesting silhouette.

The ground floor base is clad with a pixelated green tiles, this is a reinterpretation of suburban front yards. The pixelated ‘garden’ pattern acts to extend the perceived green spaces beyond the nature strip.
