Plus’ Sydney studio
Plus Architecture continues to expand its portfolio with the official launch of its Sydney studio.
Located in the heart of Sydney’s CBD the new location signifies the ongoing growth of a practice that now employs over 100 staff and a pipeline ranging from boutique projects through to large-scale developments.
“A natural progression given its like-minded business network, we see Sydney as an opportunity to continue our geographically diversification and actively contribute to a rapidly changing urban landscape,” said Plus Architecture Director, Ian Briggs.
In Sydney alone, Plus Architecture has already been involved in the design and delivery of over 1,000 apartments and that is just in the 24 months to date.
Now with a dedicated team of 18 moving into the new office, Plus Architecture anticipates the New South Wales market will come to represent 30 per cent of the overall business.
Driving this accelerated advancement is Rido Pin, who has been appointed as the practice’s first new director since 2015. Previously a Director at PTW Architects, Pin’s intimate knowledge of the local planning environment will complement the efforts of existing Director, Amit Julka.
Combined, the pair will bring Plus Architecture’s integrated approach to architecture and interior design to a new market, with this full service model an extension of the corporate philosophy that unifies the practices and sees them operate cohesively across five states and two countries.
“Diversification, both in terms of geography and service offering has meant we are able to better respond to the evolving needs of our clients and provide consistent, innovative solutions in master planning, architecture and interior design,” said Julka.
“Our personal onsite presence nationally and internationally is exposing us to new learnings, climates and construction technologies – all of which drive us to create projects of value that reflect world’s best practice and enrich client experiences.”
“In many ways this theme of expansion has touched each facet of the company, from our business model and structure to our services and internal dynamism.”
The new 208sqm space has been designed by Plus Architecture’s Head of Interior Design, Narelle Cuthbert, to support the 18-strong team, and conceptualised in line with Plus’s other existing offices.
The new office is located at Level 3, 66 Clarence Street, Sydney NSW 2000.
