Cafe Rosco, Melbourne

7.10.2010
The brief for existing pizza restaurant, Café Rosco, was to create a warm, inviting and modernised space.

At night time, the passer-by will see the glowing orbs of the lantern like light fittings.  The glow against the charcoal paint and wood creates a cosy atmosphere and attracts would-be-customers to this new café destination. Cost effective, yet design conscious solutions were also achieved.

The space was redesigned to highlight the strengths of its existing features. White painted cladding, which spanned an entire back wall, and other existing materials were re-used.  The white paint was stripped off the cladding and transformed into a warm rustic wood feature.  The floors were polished and coated with resin that reflected the ambient light.

Melbourne Football Club – Football History Conveyed Through Design

27.08.2010
The Melbourne Football Club wanted their headquarters to incorporate not only an appealing office space and functional area for the players but to embody the history and legacy of the MFC.Warm wood is combined with the MFC’s colours to create a warm and ‘gentlemen’s club’ feel.  This is combined with memorabilia and text featured on glass panels and cabinets that outlines the club’s history.

The Plus Interiors team has achieved a functional and stylish space that cleverly conveys the essence of the MFC.

Suds Laundrette – Funkiest Laundrette in Melbourne

27.08.2010
Situated on the ground floor of Society, the Suds Laundrette  could easily be mistaken for a funky Chapel St bar. The aim for Suds was to turn a mundane task into a fun and unique experience through design.

Taking its inspiration from the Alice in Wonderland checkerboard, the central area of the laundrette is clad in fabricated grass. Circular cut-outs in the walls reflect the bubbles of washing suds and double as seating.  While wood inspired vinyl is used for both functionality and aesthetics. This interesting combination of materials generates a contrast with the washing machines, enhanced by the suspended ceiling, to create a unique and stimulating environment.

Babcock & Brown Communities Office Fitout

29.08.2008
The Babcock & Brown Communities office fitout is a 2000sqm project featuring a large portion of open plan workstations and generously appointed staff lounge, training rooms and public meeting zone.

The brief was to create a relaxed corporate environment, achieved through a mix of stylish, comfortable break-out areas versus the more formal reception and meeting room spaces.

The open plan layout is designed to suit the ever-changing needs of an office environment. The flexible layout will significantly reduce future churn costs and work towards a continued environmentally sustainable work place.

The space planning provides equitable access to natural light for all staff, and the successful space efficacies have afforded a trafficable corridor around the perimeter.

The office layout reflects a corporate office culture that encourages staff interaction. We appreciate that not all productive work is carried out in meeting rooms and workstations.
