Secret Doors at Plus Architecture – Plywood nugget door

16.07.2011
At Plus Architecture’s new office fit out we have large timber nugget type forms.
The goal was to not interrupt the forms with doorways so the solution was to create secret doors these were particularly challenging because the doors themselves are not vertical nor square.
We have two secret doors at Plus Architectures new office. One has a hinge door that conceals the cloakroom; the other is a pivot door as the entry to the board room.

Brand meets Workplace Vibe

5.02.2011
The Hamton Office sits atop the Society building in South Yarra with panoramic views of Melbourne.

The large windows and open approach to the internal planning provides uninterrupted views and an abundance of natural light.

The interior design strongly reflects the clients brand and place in the market as progressive developers with a keen interest in  evironmental issues.
Timber floors, ply ceilings and the ‘cargo box’ meeting room are strong features that reinforce a natural and modern feel.
The relaxed vibe, open work areas and shared spaces provide a great workplace to met, work and enjoy.

SXY2 Display Suite

3.02.2011

Located at 33 Claremont Street, South Yarra, SXY2 is the latest apartment building designed by Plus Architecture.

The display suite design features a clever use of the existing warehouse shell. The industrial feel and use of raw materials of the display suite echoes the edgy design of the new building.                                            Strong design features include a new entry portal, crisp white sealed floors and dynamic red walls.

New Credit Union Branch Design

10.01.2011
Plus Architecture was recently invited to submit a concept design as part of the new direction for a major Australian Credit Union.

The brief required the design of 150m² retail banking environment to meet both the aspirational and functional requirements of the organisation.

Our interiors team developed a design solution that focused on approachability; exploring new ways for staff to interact with members and visitors. Materials and fitments were carefully selected to reinforce the notion that a banking branch can also be a relaxed and welcoming environment.
