2010 Venice Architecture Biennale
16.06.2010| Plus Architecture is a proud sponsor of the 2010 Venice Architecture Biennale.
Organised by the Australian Institute of Architects, 17 proposals will be exhibited in the Australian Pavilion at Venice, with the theme ‘NOW + WHEN Australian Urbanism’. The latest 3D stereoscopic imaging will form the basis of this exhibition. The ‘NOW’ element will highlight six of Australia’s most interesting urban and anti-urban regions as they are, before dramatically representing the recently selected, futuristic urban environments from the competition imagining ‘WHEN’ we reach 2050 and beyond. |

‘Camouflage’ Series by Georgia Ezra
10.11.2009| As one of Plus’ newest team members, Georgia Ezra is a talented Interior Designer recently graduated from the University ofNew South Wales.
A couple of weeks ago at the PYD markets, Georgia displayed her ‘Camouflage’ furniture series. Cleverly constructed for the placement and stacking of books, the piece is both artwork and display unit in one. The size, form and thickness of the Perspex structure allows for varying functions from seating, bedside table, coffee table, low tables for a bar, office or restaurant space. Georgia was inspired by the illusion of books piled one on top of the other with no support system. As the books are consciously organised in a shifted manner by a hidden system, there is a sense of structure and controlled chaos. Non-intrusive and tailored to ones specific design scheme and style of space; camouflaging within and taking on the setting it is placed into. |

Saucer
18.09.2008| Great architecture questions, challenges, charms and delights. Design acts as a lens through which we experience the world around us. Great design lets us see more clearly. The picture of the saucer is not important – the once a year advent of a ray of light is. Rarity is so rare these days. | ![]() |
