This is a meeting of two great designers from two very different fields, Industrial and Fashion. Dyson who invented the bagless vacuum with dual cyclone chambers and made vacuum cleaners ‘sexy’ and Issey Miyake whose collection is inspired by wind and the Dyson have worked together using the ‘essence’ of the Dyson to produce and showcase a collection on the Catwalk. | http://www.isseymiyake.dyson.com/ |

ERA, Cremorne
13.12.2007| Situated on the corner of Balmain and Dover streets in Cremorne, ERA is a mixed-use development comprising a total of 140 two and three bedroom apartments, 15 townhouses, a 3 level office podium and 150 sqm of cafe space.
Era boasts a large central courtyard landscaped around a pool, BBQ facilities and lawn areas, and also offers a gym, library, meeting rooms and private cinema for all residents, commercial and residential. Era has been carefully designed to suit the character of Richmond, presenting a highly contextual, finely grained, and interesting rejuvenation of a previously run down, post industrial Richmond site. |

Design Inspiration – Marvel of Peru (Mirabilis Jalapa)
10.12.2007| I often find my inspiration from nature. Sitting on my balcony at the moment is one of my favourite plants, the Marvel of Peru.
The flowers are vibrant and sweet scented, however they only come out in the evening. During the day the plant is very unassuming. It is this night/day contrast of bright and vivid vs simple elegance that I find fascinating. Both compliment each other well, while providing an awareness of time and change.
